Basha Roberts

Mrs. Roberts is the President and owner of LexTech, Inc., a business and technology business based in Lexington, Kentucky and a partner in B & R Farms, a 50+ year-old family farm in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She represents our oldest economy with her family farm to the new economy with a successful technology business.

Basha C. Roberts was born and raised in an entrepreneur family who owned farms and retail businesses. She completed college classes while attending high school and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. After working for a few years in government service work, she was intrigued by the technology frontier and started a career in the computer industry. She has been called “the unique geek” because she is known for her love and understanding of high end technology and her great communication skills. She has collected many computer industry certifications over the years, including Certified Netware Engineer and Certified Security Professional.

Her company, LexTech, Inc. has provided services and products in over 25 states in the US. She saw the mobile technology revolution coming and transitioned her company to a mobile work force in 2005. Her company experienced an increased production of 40% after the move. Today she continues to work with new technology such as smart phones, social networking, and cloud based software solutions.

The Lane Report named Mrs. Roberts as one of the “Top Women in Business” in 1996. The Lexington Chapter of NAWBO recognized Mrs. Roberts as their Member of the Year in 1997 and their Public Policy Advocate of the Year in 2003. Mrs. Roberts was presented with the 2007 “Legislative Bulldog” award from the Women Republicans of Central Kentucky organization.

Mrs. Roberts has been active and served in leadership for many community organizations. Her service has included the Rotary Club of Lexington – Board of Directors, YMCA of Central Kentucky – Executive Board of Directors and Secretary, The United Way of the Bluegrass – Board of Directors, The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) – Lexington Chapter Board of Directors, Vice President, President, and National Public Policy and Membership Council Director, WROCK – President and Board of Directors, Calvary Baptist Church – Welcome Committee Chair, Budget Committee, RA Director, GA leader, and Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Roberts was a candidate for Kentucky State Auditor in 2003.
